Narrative
BEDMINSTER, NJ – A vehicle struck and killed an 18-year-old pedestrian on Saturday evening as the victim walked along a sidewalk in Bedminster.
The incident happened around 6:10 p.m. in the area of Route 202, or Main Street, and Elm Street, which is just northwest of Bedminster Parks Extension.
Police say that a westbound 2017 Nissan Maxima veered off of the roadway and struck the pedestrian, who died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities identified the victim as William Richardson.
Medics transported the 35-year-old driver of the Nissan to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
