Narrative
WARREN, NJ – Three adults went to the hospital Sunday morning after a two-vehicle crash along the interstate in Warren.
The incident happened around 4:51 a.m. on I-78 near milepost 39.2, which is just southeast of Watchung Hills Regional High School.
The investigation indicates that a westbound Chevy SUV entered the right shoulder of I-78 and struck a parked Subaru.
The 58-year-old driver of the Subaru sustained serious injuries in the crash, while the other driver and a passenger sustained moderate injuries. All three victims required hospitalization.
It’s unclear why the Subaru was parked on the side of the interstate and why the driver of the Chevy veered onto the shoulder.
The investigation is ongoing.
