Narrative
TOMS RIVER, NJ – A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle killed a pedestrian on Wednesday in Toms River.
Police say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. on Route 166 between Lomell Lane and Mapletree Road, which is west of Toms River North High School.
It’s not yet clear what caused the motorcycle and vehicle to collide, nor have officials clarified where the pedestrian was standing or walking when they were struck and killed.
The identity of the deceased is still pending.
Officials closed Route 166 in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.
