Narrative
LAKEWOOD, NJ – One adult and one child died last Saturday in a wrong-way collision in north-central Ocean County.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal crash at Cross Street and Hearthstone Drive on the south side of Lakewood.
Police say that an eastbound Dodge Durango entered the westbound side of Cross Street and collided head on with a westbound Nissan Sentra.
The driver of the Nissan and an 11-year-old passenger sustained fatal injuries, while another 11-year-old passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Two people from the Dodge sustained non-critical injuries.
Authorities arrested the driver of the Nissan, identified as 43-year-old Raul Luna-Perez, on charges of vehicular homicide
