Narrative
A male pedestrian died on Wednesday, November 30th after a vehicle struck him on Atlantic Avenue near Broadway before fleeing the scene. Police say the driver of Traffic Unit 1, a 2022 Chevy U-Haul pickup truck, hit a pedestrian on Atlantic. The 64-year-old pedestrian died after transport to Cooper Medical Center. Police arrested the driver of the pickup truck, identified as 42-year-old Samad Searles-Bevans, for leaving the scene of a car accident resulting in death. No other injuries have been reported. A full investigation is underway.
