Narrative
A 20-year-old woman died Friday night after a drunk driver’s transport van collided with her car in New Brunswick. The incident happened at 10:48 p.m. at the intersection of Suydam Street and Railroad Avenue. The investigation thus far indicates that a transport van struck a Honda Civic sedan in the intersection. The driver of the sedan, identified as Karen Garcia-Puga, died after transport to a local hospital. Police arrested the driver of the transport van, identified as 24-year-old Jose Manuel Garcia-Vazquez, on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving without a license, and second-degree vehicular homicide. A full investigation is underway.
