Narrative
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A fiery collision between a van and an 18-wheeler killed three people on Friday night in South Brunswick.
The incident happened just after 9:30 a.m. on Route 1 at Ridge Road, which is just south of the Heathcote Extension.
Police say that a van carrying a driver and two disabled adults crashed with a semi, causing the van to ignite.
All three occupants of the van died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.
Medics transported the truck driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
