Desmond A. Gomes, 32, was killed by a tractor trailer while riding his motorcycle on I-80 W on Feb. 10th. Gomes was struck in the rear by the trailer, and he was thrown from his motorcycle before sustaining injuries that would kill him. Both vehicles were driving westbound and collided around milepost 11.6. No information was given regarding the condition of the truck driver. There is also no indication of who will be held responsible for the crash.
