Narrative
CAMDEN, NJ – A 41-year-old woman died Wednesday after a vehicle struck her on the south side of Camden.
The accident happened around 3:21 p.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and Tulip Street, which is just east of North-South Freeway and north of Morgan Street.
It’s unclear if the victim was crossing the street at the time of the crash. Police say the driver and vehicle that struck her fled the scene. Thus far, they have not released a description of the driver or vehicle.
Medics transported the pedestrian, identified as Carla Mahan, to an area hospital. She died very soon after.
