Narrative
BARRINGTON, NJ – A fiery accident along the New Jersey Turnpike in northwestern Camden County caused multiple injuries Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred on the northbound side of the Turnpike near Clements Bridge Road in Barrington. This is about 12 miles southeast of Philadelphia.
Police aren’t yet sure what caused the wreck. They say that two vehicles caught fire after colliding, hurting at least eight people.
Medics transported six people to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Officials closed lanes in the area of the accident for over five hours while emergency crews worked to help the victims, put out the fire, and clear the scene.
