Narrative
MEDFORD, NJ – Injuries have been reported in a two-vehicle accident along the highway in north-central Burlington County on Tuesday.
The accident happened at 8:47 a.m. on NJ-70 at County Road 541, or Medford-Mount Holly Road. This is in the city of Medford.
Police say that a westbound vehicle collided with an eastbound vehicle when the latter car attempted to make a left turn from NJ-70 onto County Road 541. The collision damaged a traffic signal and caused one of the vehicles to ignite.
It’s not yet clear how many people sustained injuries in the accident and if any of them required hospitalization. Authorities say that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Officials closed the highway while crews worked to clear the scene.
