Narrative
DUMONT, NJ – A 54-year-old woman died on Thursday evening after a vehicle struck her at a busy Dumont intersection.
The collision occurred around 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of West Madison Avenue and Washington Avenue, which is just east of Dumont Arboretum.
The investigation indicates that Elizabeth Feliciano-Rosa was crossing West Madison Avenue when a pickup truck struck her. The truck them fled the scene.
Feliciano-Rosa died after transport to a local hospital.
Police located and arrested Ernest F. Hofmann, 94, in connection to the crash. Charges include leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and obstruction of justice.
The investigation is ongoing.
