Narrative

SEWELL, NJ – Three people, including at least one child, went to the hospital Thursday after a solo crash caused by a drunk driver in central Gloucester County.

The incident happened at 5:50 p.m. on Hurffville Grenloch Road near Quay Park. This is between NJ-55 and NJ-42.

Police say that 31-year-old Sean Asman was intoxicated when he crashed his 2008 Toyota Yaris into a utility pole.

Medics transported Asman and his two passengers to a Camden hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities say that Asman faces multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, reckless driving, and assault by auto.

Officials are also investigating whether the crash disrupted power to several customers in the town of Sewell.

The investigation is ongoing.
